Rental terms
All guests must agree to and accept the following terms before booking.
1. Itinerary Confirmation
Additional Items and Services: For additional passengers, facilities, or water activities, please contact us at least 5 days prior to departure. Related costs will be calculated based on the website price on the day of the change. If the number of passengers is less than the reservation, or additional facilities and water activities are cancelled, due to administrative arrangements, related costs will be settled based on the original order size.
Passenger Capacity and Safety: Under all circumstances, the number of passengers on board must comply with the vessel's legal capacity. If the number of passengers exceeds the reservation, please contact us immediately to make up the difference.
Reservation Purpose and Pricing: The prices displayed on the website are primarily for recreational purposes. For business promotions, weddings, or special events, please contact us in advance for a customized quote to ensure appropriate support and services are provided.
2. Boarding and Itinerary Guarantee
Time Reservation: If the renter is absent two hours (yacht) / fifteen minutes (speedboat and other services) after the originally scheduled boarding time, they will be deemed to have forfeited their right to the voyage.
Navigation and Route Arrangement: To ensure navigational safety, the final route and duration will be determined by the captain based on weather, traffic, and sea conditions on the day. If the itinerary is adjusted due to environmental factors (such as delayed departure or earlier arrival at shore), please refer to the full terms of service for details. Any additional costs incurred due to the route must be paid to the boat owner on the day of the trip.
3. Navigation Safety and Rules
Safety Behavior Guidelines: Passengers are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their companions. Participation in water activities involves natural risks; passengers are advised to arrange additional personal insurance as needed.
Environmental and Property Maintenance: For your personal safety, please avoid jumping from the upper deck or swimming at night. Please keep your personal belongings safe; Holimood and the boat owner will not be responsible for them. Police assistance can be sought on your behalf if necessary.
Damage and Liability for Facilities: During the charter period, the charterer shall bear the costs of repair, restoration, or replacement of any equipment, appliances, devices, or other property on board that is damaged, destroyed, stolen, or removed.
Legal Conduct Guarantee: All itineraries must comply with local regulations. In the event of violations or the carrying of prohibited items, the shipowner will prioritize cooperation with law enforcement to protect the reputation of both parties and reserves the right to adjust the itinerary immediately.
During the charter period, if any equipment, appliances, devices, or other property is damaged, destroyed (excluding normal wear and tear), stolen, or removed, the charterer shall pay the shipowner for the cost of repair, restoration, or replacement of the relevant items.
Large Equipment and Cooking: If the charterer plans to bring large equipment (such as audio equipment, cooking equipment, etc.) or needs to cook for themselves, please obtain prior confirmation from the shipowner to facilitate the ship's power and space allocation.
Handling of Special Circumstances: To ensure navigational safety, if itinerary adjustments are necessary due to mechanical issues or uncontrollable factors, the shipowner will prioritize safety in the scheduling. Bad Weather Arrangement
- In case of severe weather, the owner will decide whether to depart or change the itinerary for the day, with safety as the primary consideration. The owner reserves all rights to decide whether to depart and to determine the itinerary.
- The sailing schedule will remain unchanged without refund in the following circumstances:
i) If Typhoon Signal No. 1 or Red Rainstorm Warning is hoisted before departure;
ii) If Typhoon Signal No. 1 or Red Rainstorm Warning is hoisted before boarding, or if the higher typhoon signal is lowered to Typhoon Signal No. 1, and the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered to Red Rainstorm Warning two hours before boarding.
The charterer should maintain close communication with the owner to confirm the itinerary for the day.
- If the Observatory still hoists Typhoon Signal No. 3 or above, or issues a Black Rainstorm Warning two hours before boarding, the following procedures will apply: The charterer may choose to reschedule free of charge, with 100% of the payment converted to Holimood Points. If the charterer ultimately decides to cancel and not retain points, we will refund in cash after charging a 10% administrative fee.
- If a typhoon signal of No. 3 or higher or a black rainstorm warning is hoisted during the charter period, the shipowner has the right to return to port earlier in accordance with maritime regulations and for safety reasons. No compensation will be provided for the remaining time.
- If a reservation needs to be rescheduled or cancelled, we will do our best to assist the charterer in rescheduling or cancelling catering orders.
If a rescheduling or cancellation is notified within 24 hours before departure, due to catering preparations or other factors, we can only arrange catering delivery to the charterer's designated address, which will be considered as fulfillment of the service. All catering (including complimentary and optional meals) will not be included in future rescheduled sailings, and the charterer must reorder at the market price on the website.
Cancellation Policy
Rescheduling
Reschedule at least 30 days before the departure date, guest shall pay a handling fee of 10% of the total order amount;
Reschedule at least 14 days before the departure date, guest shall pay a handling fee of 20% of the total order amount;
Reschedule at least 7 days before the departure date, guest shall pay a handling fee of 50% of the total order amount;
No reschedule is allowed within 7 working days before the departure date.
- According to the reservation vacancy, the reservation can be changed to October of that year or later. If you want to change to a date before October of that year, guest will have to pay an additional handling fee(i.e. 20% of the total amount of the order).
- If the guest’s initial booking date is a weekday, the change date must also be a weekday; if the guest’s initial booking date is a weekend/public holiday, the changed booking date must be a weekend/public holiday and shall bear the difference of all updated booking.
- Guests can only change the reservation time once.
- Guests may not choose another vessel when changing the reservation.
- In the event of cancellation or rescheduling of any charter order, drinks and meals in all booking orders shall not be changed or cancelled. Due to food preparation or other factors, the lessee still has to bear the full cost(Please contact vessel owners for details)and retrieve the food from the selected place on time.
Cancellation
Cancelling on at least 45 days before the departure date, the guest shall pay a handling fee of 20% of the total order amount;
Cancelling on at least 30 days before the departure date, the guest shall pay a handling fee of 30% of the total order amount;
Cancelling on at least 14 days before the departure date, the guest shall pay a handling fee of 50% of the total order amount;
No cancellation is allowed within 14 working days before the departure date.
